The President of Tres Dias International puts out a monthly blog and covers such topics as Sponsorship, The Balance of Grace and Legalism in Tres Dias, Role of Traditions, etc. which may help you better understand Tres Dias.
Tres Dias International (TDI) is working to develop strong, healthy communities by utilizing the Liaison program. Currently, the US is broken into 5 geographical regions, the Western, Central, Texas, Southeastern and Northeastern. We have 5 Liaisons and are looking to add at least 3 more to help in the Western, Texas, and Northeastern areas. There is also an opening for an International Liaison to help serve the communities in foreign countries.
The Liaisons are also responsible for helping start new communities, known as “Emerging communities by providing the “New Community Start-Up Model.” Part of this model is a commitment by TDI to provide a dedicated liaison to each Emerging community as well as all chartered communities to share best practices and help in any way they possibly can. The model provides a good foundation for the Emerging community and Sponsoring community to build on.
If you are thinking about starting a community, or know someone who is interested, the first step begins with inspiration from the Holy Spirit. This is essential. When God puts the desire to start a new community in your heart, pray about it. When He confirms it, then you have your start. The next step is to contact the TDI Secretariat Membership VP at MembershipVP@tresdias.org. The Membership VP will assign a Liaison to you and soon after, the Membership VP and/or your TDI liaison will sit down with your group to encourage, answer any questions, and help in planning the next steps.
In the interim, reach out to others in the area to put together a group to meet, commit, and affirm that you want to go forward. The experience will be a service of joy!
The TDI Secretariat and Liaisons exists to serve both chartered and emerging communities. Being the Sponsoring Community for an Emerging Community is our privilege.
